“this is the second Humax HB-1100S units I have purchased and so far they are working well good simple User listing and with the external HArd drive records, the only change I would like would be to be able to use SSD drives to record on as they are silent and cooler working”
“Cosmetically very good, however after about 4 hours a fault developed.
I believe that unit are re tested, but not run for a reasonable amount of time to allow the unit to warm up and show up any thermal faults.
Returned, money refunded, all though did take 2 weeks to receive the refund.”
“It's fantastic, I just wish I'd ordered the one with the hard drive though so I could record one programme while watching another. Excellent quality, easy to set up and I don't miss Sky at all or the money it cost me each month! I use Humax in conjunction with Amazon Prime, and Apple TV so I have access to loads of films and box sets. I can't believe it only cost me £62! Ordering was so easy, only problem with delivery came from the couriers (DPD) who can't read instructions! I am telling everyone I know who also can't get a terrestrial signal to get a Humax Freesat. Brilliant! Highly recommend Humax and the fact that this is a refurbished unit is irrelevant because it was done by the manufacturers and comes with a warranty. Get one before everyone else finds out what a bargain they are!”
“I already have the excellent Humax HDR-1100 1Tb, this purchase of the non recording version was for use in the bedroom.
Where we live we are on a relay transmitter for Freeview, which means only a very few of the TV channels are available to us, the only option is to use Freesat!
The Humax HB-1100s fits the job exactly, being a refurbished by Humax item it works perfectly and in fact looked just like a brand new unit, not a mark on it and perfectly box and wrap in it's protective film.
The unit was very straight forward to setup and was working faultlessly in minutes of being connected via HDMI to the TV. We also benefited with WIFI connectivity for on demand programs.
Can't recommend these units highly enough, this is my third Humax and the other two are still working perfectly. The oldest a Fox-Sat HDR 320Gb, is now very old but works well, though the on demand is old generation and not supported by the Broadcaster any longer everything else is fine. Buy without worries.”
