“I found the H3 streaming box good., but the installation instructions very poor, there was no mention of entering in codes on the main Humax unit, and I had to phone Ireland for instructions how to link up corectly.
This does need addressing.”
“Probably rather unfair rating my new H3 as 'very Poor' but in truth I haven't been able to use it. My main TV / Humax FVP is located downstairs. My router is behind the TV. The H3 is located with my second TV in an upstairs bedroom. It is impractical to connect the H3 to the router via Ethernet so was relying on WiFi. Unfortunately, when switched on, selecting a TV channel or a recorded programme results in freeze frame pictures. It would seem that my WiFi signal is not strong enough where my H3 is located. My router provider has suggested I try selecting a different channel but I'm sceptical about this working. All very disappointing. I was looking forward to being able to view recorded programmes whilst relaxing in bed!”

Generally works ok fof
Watching live TV or recordings from FVP-4000 but ...
Configuration is not entirely straightforward :
- Need to ensure devices are connected to exactly the same network where multiple WiFi exist (eg 2GHz and 5GHz)
- Need to ensure that media server is running on main FVP-4000
No catchup apps on H3 which really is disappointing.
Fast forward or reverse on recordings is unreliable often jumping much too far or just restarting show for no apparent reason.
Device tends to get stuck on a particular function eg showing a specific channel and keeps returning to it when trying to select something else. Turning off and on will sometimes cure this but not always.
Really happy with FVP-4000 but a bit disappointed with the H3.”
“I find this box not very user friendly, I have 6 assorted Humax boxes all easy to use, but this H3 has been very frustrating lack of instruction's I have downloaded the manual this as helped some what 4-5 telephone calls to humax, not all giving the same advise it seems to say we are experts in this field but no we only set these boxes up once when we know what we are doing its ok.
what really annoyed me on the box it says plug in switch on enjoy no way did this happen
