“First box faulty and getting the replacement was inconvenient as I needed to be at home to receive it but no quibble and fast ( next day) delivery. Still waiting for discount which couldn’t be entered at checkout to be applied retrospectively”
“A good product, but having had a previous Humax product I have had problems with delays after pressing buttons to do something, eg look at the TV guide, or having to press buttons several times before anything happens, and this is happening with this model, which is a bit disappointing. Also, it would be useful to have a date on the recordings list for each recorded item.”
“Looks fantastic and occupies a small footprint. User interface is good and very easy to find and record programmes. The only negative point I have is that it is difficult to tell if the unit is switched on or not. When I come home I switch the TV on, but to get to the Humax, I need to change the input on my TV to HDMI3, then I have to see whether the Humax is on or not as the only indication is a tiny, and I mean TINY blue dot on the front. If it's not on, I have to switch it on using the oversized remote and wait 10 seconds for the TV to find the input channel. Why can't it just be on all the time? or automatically come on when it detects the TV is trying to route through to that input channel?”
“Does everything expected and everything we need. Good on-demand means it can be used with a non-smart TV.
Use it with an Espresso H3 too which is more limited in its performance: plays back recordings etc. but can't edit or display contents so easily.”
