“Seems to be ok although I am having distortion in sound on both live tv and recordings. Our tv is fine in pass thru mode. Am having to use box almost on full volume and that is not good for distortion.
Will try a soundbar that I have and see if I can reduce the volume output. Never, ever had a Humax issue before.”
“Very happy with the box, despite being refurbished it was like new. The WiFi receiver for the smart channels is far stronger than that on my Samsung smart tv, so always use the freeview smart channels now as the WiFi never dips out! Was sceptical about buying but needed the box to record some programs, but it has gone beyond the call of duty as described above, very much recommended.”
“The FVP-4000T is fine. My complaint concerns the RM-L08 remote. What started off as a simple query, “how do I program the remote to control the TV on and off function” has descended into farce.
After an exchange of some 13 or 14 emails, your reference : [HMX79394569] Remote synchronisation, and a replacement remote, I am still no further forward. Since 4 days have passed since my last “it’s still not working email,” I suspect customer support have given up.
There’s no need for me to spell out in capitals what I think of this aspect of Humax, which of course will be doubly confirmed if this doesn’t elicit a response either.”
“Great box, love that I can record 4 programmes at once. The only annoying thing with it is the remote, it’s not very responsive. You have to make sure it’s directed straight at the box for it to work.”
