Although in general i have been satisfied with the actual box, I have found the remote control rather hit or miss in selecting channels ect.
Because of that, I can only award 3 stars i'm afraid.

“We've had 5 or 6 Humax PVRs and are big fans. This latest purchase is working fine and Humax dealt quickly and efficiently with a problem {not directly with the recorder}.
I hadn't realised that this model doesn't have slomo playback, but the improved performance in other areas far outweighs that.
Very pleased with Humax Direct and the recorder so far.”
“Great little box and it gives me a choice of what to watch. Set up was easy, just plugged in the aerial then searched to update. It looks brand new and I've not had any problems so far after owning this since April 2017. Well worth the money I spent!”
“Sadly the worst PVR I have owned. A clunky very slow reacting menu system. No bookmarking feature like previous models. Regularly locks up and requires a “hard” power down before it will respond. TV guide often becomes feint and unreadable (hidden behind picture, rather than other way round) again requiring a “hard” power down. I’m very close to returning it for a refund.”
“The functionality is good but some of the instructions confusing. Once understood it works well but the aerial needs to be top class if it's to work at all. This model is far less sensitive than older ones and demands a very good signal from the aerial. Tech help is belligerent and insists the aerial is at fault even when it worked perfectly with the previous model. Overall a less well designed box from a sensitivity perspective followed by a pretty indifferent service”
