very good PVR, the only thing that can get annoying is the HD reminder every 10 minutes or so which cannot be turned off

Excellent picture quality and sound and it does a good job of handling Standard Definition broadcasts. The controls and interface are a little quirky, though. I only discovered the "30 sec jump forward/10 sec jump back" by chance, for example. Good for the price.

I would of rated this machine Very Good. However it has been sold in the full knowledge that there is a software glitch which has been ongoing for some time. The schedule list keeps disappearing.Fortunately it can be recovered by switching the power off and then back on.It still records the invisible schedule list. But it does record 4 separate channels at once and has good on demand features

I bought this STB to replace a quite old and 'unconnected' Humax box that was, frankly, just about to die. But it had served me well enough to suggest that another Humax was the way to go. Seeing this box at what appeared to be a bargain price, albeit a refurb model, I snapped it up. It connected easily to my wifi signal, both to the original Sky router and then to a new TalkTalk box) and is proving to be very reliable. The setup was easy, and the EPG is a dream, with scrollback replicating the joys of YouView in that missed programmes can be caught up with ease. I love that feature. I honestly cannot think of a fault or a feature that is functionally poor or missing, and it works very well with my Samsung TV, with one controller operating both with a single press. I only hold back on the fifth star because I have not owned it more than a few weeks and, being a refurb, it might still be a dodgy piece of kit. But, so far, it is great. Go get!
