“WHAT WORKS, DOES WORK WELL. RECORDING AND PLAYBACK QUALITY IN HD IS VERY GOOD. VERY QUIET AND USABLE IN THE BEDROOM, JUST CANNOT HEAR THE HARD DRIVE UNLIKE MY OLD GOODMAN. THE MENU OF RECORDINGS IS VERY GOOD AND ORGANISED. BUT IT HAS ANNOYING ISSUES: PROGRAMME GUIDE NOT EASY TO SKIP THROUGH THE DAYS AND SEE A WEEK AHEAD; NOT EASY TO FAST FORWARD PLAYBACK TO CUT OUT ADVERTS [MY OLD GOODMAN WAS EXCELLENT AT THAT]; REACTION TO CONTROLS OFTEN SEEMS VERY VERY VERY SLOW AND IT HAS AN ANNOYING HABIT OF GOING TO SLEEP AND REFUSING TO WAKE UP WITHOUT BEING UNPLUGGED AND REBOOTED. “Usual good picture quality from Humax and thank goodness they have allowed the progress bars to stay on screen when rewinding etc.
A big big no no is there is no simple straight forward info button to see a programme description. It reqires several clicks to achieve.
Very disappointed that they still can't make its operation more intuitive. We ahve lost several programmes by accidently deleting them and you cant delete a whole file of programmes anymore you have to do them one at a time - inshort a tiresome machine.”
“The product itself is good but I received no email confirmation of my order nor details of delivery schedule from Humax. The only way I could check the order had been received was by checking my credit card had been charged . I therefore ore have no proof of purchase for future warranty work and am having to follow this up with customer services who are proving hard to make contact wiTh via their on line chat or telephone. I was informed by the on line chat that they were too busy and to email but this has not had a response. I was put in a queue on the telephone but with no indication of my position in the queue and gave up after 10 minutes”
