“Delighted with this Freesat box, and it is worth the extra money because it ticks all the boxes and will store plenty thus avoiding me having to delete to get other programmes on.”
“Bought this box to replace an older but similar box as the hard drive suddenly failed and losing all the recordings. This box operates in a similar manner and does the job well. The EPG is clear and easy to navigate to set recordings. As its predecessor, it is slow to start up and get going. My disappointment is that you can't tell which channel is being watched as the channel indication has gone from this newer box. A gripe is that you can't easily tell if the box is switched on. There is a blue and red light almost under the box which are meant to provide the on/off indication but are virtually impossible to see and therefore of little use. The previous box enabled remote setting of recordings but haven't managed to set on this box. A few niggles but it does provide an excellent output to the TV.”
“Having given up Sky, a good way to use my dish, instead of EE tv, which gave poor reception on the old aerial; so a great piece of kit and easy to use with bags of storage. Instinctive handset (who reads instructions?!) and neat appearance giving full use of freeview, which we have combined with Netflix. Would recommend it.”
“I had the Humax 1010 since new and it had started to make a whirring noise badly so invested in this model. It does exactly the same as my old one, except there is no front indicator of what’s on etc. No channel numbers, nothing! Only a small light underneath the unit. I like to watch tv in bed at night and can’t tell if it’s on, if it’s recording or anything unless I go to the AV channel on the tv to check! Not a good thing to miss out Humax!
No other difference at all in any shape or form from the other version except this.
Would have been better and cheaper to have bought previous model instead.”
