“I purchased this unit as a replacement for Sky+ box as fed up with high charges from Sky! Added Netflix and, so far, reasonably happy. However, somewhat disappointed with the Support - or lack of it! I initially used the optical connecton to feed audio to my Hi-Fi which was ok until I watched a HD channel and the sound disappeared! I logged this as a support issue and, despite receiving a standard response stating that I would be replied to withing 48hrs, I still await a response one week later! I think that I have sorted the issue anyway. I believe that HD channels use the HDMI cable for audio when connected to a HD channel and the optical gets dropped (should't but it does)! I have now connected the Hi-Fi utilising RCA connection.”

“Great design, very smart and modern appearance. After using Sky equipment for 15 years the changes in menu operation are taking a little getting used to but we will get there. The biggest hang-up is the amount of time it takes the box to tune and operate on screen. We have a Samsung set with Smart operation and it also frustrating not to be able to pre-record catch up material. Perhaps we need more experience at using the remote. I think a more detailed small handbook in the box would be good. Totally, very satisfied thank you. Merry Christmas and Peaceful New Year to you all.”

“Full of useful functions presented in a logical style without the geeky "clever" stuff often present on IT/AV equipment. Simple user interface and sensible layout of remote makes for ease of use.
Picture excellent as too so why didn't I give 5 stars:
1. The separate power module is just plain daft as it doesn't overcome global connector issues like in-plug power supplies. It's an awkward appendage to an otherwise neat and stylish box and would be much better incorporated in the box even if this did make it 20 - 30mm wider.
2. 3 or even 4 inputs would be useful so that more than one programme can be recorded whilst watching another live. This shortcoming has caused a quick reschedule of viewing methods or priorities on several ocassions in the 4 weeks I've own the recorder.”
