“Trawled through website after website trying to find the best freesat box replacement for Virgin. This one comes out tops all the time and a great little box it is. I only gave it four stars for quality because one of the connectors on mine was faulty when I bought it from Currys, but they replaced it with no hassle........except.......they don't stock the HDR 1100S, but only order it in. However, I was lucky enough that they had one 500gb in stock so I took that instead of waiting for the 1tb. Personally, I found that the 1tb is way more than any normal tv viewer (like me) would use. In the future I may regret my decision.
I think the HD picture quality is much better than Virgin HD, but I do wish there were more HD channels. Freetime+ is good. Has ITV Player, which Virgin doesn't.
I'm writing this just after the storms 12/2015 and I thought I'd mention that during the storms we didn't have any disruption to the satellite service. Even though I'm in a Zone 1 dish area I decided to go with a Zone 2 dish which being slightly bigger may have helped keeping the signal.
All in all a great move away from Virgin TV and love the fact that I'm now £50+ a month better off.”

Super piece of kit easy to set up and use. Love the catch up options in the guide and the fact that I can record two programmes at the same time. the hard drive is so large that I can store all my films with space to spare.”
