“Very disappointed with this item. Previous Humax PVR was well constructed in metal with front mounted display - this new one is made of cheap plastic with no display. It just about does the job but is nowhere near a substitute for my old one. I ordered it assuming it would be the same quality as my old one so feel very let down. The last Humax item that I will purchase.”

“I'm always willing to buy manufacturer refurb items from good brands; and this PVR did not disappoint. I've previously owned one of the original Humax Freesat boxes, and also a Samsung model. The HDR-1100S 500GB is an excellent upgrade. The on-demand integration is very usable and the remote app provides a 'smart' experience. The firmware is responsive and stable; and details such as the 'watch in HD' prompt are commendable. I can only really criticise one thing; the lack of a discernible on/off indicator on the front of the box. Otherwise this device adds a premium experience to a free television service.”
“I have purchased several Humax machines in recent years, Freesat, Freeview and You view, all perform splendidly apart from one major fault - any single remote control triggers all three machines. Some years ago Panasonic cured the same problem with their DVD recorders by having switcheable 'remotes. It saved the sanity of many frustrated users. Any chance you can do the same?
