“Plus side - it sets up easily, picture quality is good, it does what it says.
Minus side - status LED placed idiotically on the underside of the case. It takes so long to start up that I'm reminded of 405 line B&W valve TVs in 1960. The user interface is clunky - e.g. why doesn't program listing default to "favourites" rather than "all channels"?
Overall, pretty good but the design team could do with a bit of encouragement.”
“This is the third Humax Freesat box I have had to buy in recent years. I do not regard them as reliable. It seemed to me from forum discussions that repair would cost almost as much as a new box.
Having said that, I do like the facilities and ease of use it offers.”
“I bought this to replace a Freeview FVP4000T which was a complete nightmare.
Despite this, as a long standing Humax customer I decided to switch to Freesat and so far it has been a delight.
It is easy to use and has proved to be reliable. I do miss being able to record multiple channels but that has not proved to be a real problem with catch-up TV being so easy to access.”
