Good points: relatively easy to set up; massive recording capacity; good to have 'On Demand' as well as ordinary TV. Bad points: EPG is incredibly slow and clunky - keeps defaulting away from Favourites list, seem unable to search by genre for more than a day ahead (e.g.on old Freeview recorder could almost instantly review x hundred up-coming films for week); sound controls bit bonkers (need use different control handsets dep. on whether it an HD or ordinary channel - which was NOT the case on my prev Humax Freeview). Essentially I preferred pretty much everything about my previous Humax HD Freeview recorder - and rather regret up-grading, which I did to gain On Demand tv - now wonder if I should have kept the Freeview recorder and instead changed the TV to one with on-demand...!

WONDERFUL PIECE OF EQUIPMENT. EASY TO USE AND THE RECORDING FUNCTION OF X4 DIFFERENT CHANNELS IS SUPER. THE RECORDED PROGRAMS DO NOT GO IN ALPHABETICAL ORDER, WHICH IS THE ONLY MY ONLY GRIPE AND YOU HAVE TO SCROLL THROUGH ALL THE RECORDINGS. GENERALLY VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE MACHINE AND ESPECIALLY THE SERVICE PROVIDED AFTER I ORDERED THE WRONG BOX.

Disappointed i cannot create folders to store different categories of recorded programs. My other Humax had this facility.
