Not the easiest equipment to use. Disappointed that a recording once started can't be stopped or deleted.

Recorder did not work.....no connection with remote, nor with the replacement sent by Humax. Whole set returned and refunded.

It has taken us a while to get used to the recorder but all seems well now. We haven’t got an HD tv yet but when we do it will be fine.

The unit was bought to replace an ageing Humax PVR-9150T. Pros: Delivery and external condition of both the unit and the remote control was excellent. Quality of recorded programs is good with regard to both audio and video. Reasonably easy to use once you get used to it. Cons: Initial set up and Auto Scan did not find BBC1 and BBC2. ( Weak or no signal displayed). Humax could only suggest do a Manual Scan, which did not work. Took Freeview Customer Service to solve the problem by telling me to do a Factory Default setting and then Auto Scan. When recording in Standby Mode the unit will not switch on, ( to watch a previously recorded program), using the Humax Remote Control. Have to use the TV Remote AV menu and switch to the correct input for the Recorder. ( Found this out by trial and error). Booting up the unit is long and laborious. To sum up, the unit provides acceptable recordings but it has too many peripheral issues to deserve more than a 3 star rating.
