“Unit was supplied with a faulty HDMI cable, a replacement was posted out , thank you! The HDR-1800 was NOT Technicaly checked before being assigned to refurbished stock as still had the audio fault documented on the internet this was resolved with an update that should have been applied before sending to the customer. This update was the last for this machine released in January 2018. However in 2020 it was shipped to me with the previous 2017 firmware. I shouldn't really be suprised with the service from Humax as they are not known for their good after sales customer service. would I recomend? As a company No, customer service? No. The HDR-1800 itself? Not feeling the Confidence in this PVR as I did with the previous 9300T which lasted 8 years and 2 hard drives.”
“I wanted to renew my earlier model which was still working good and being passed on to offspring. I preferred the format of early ones, but Humax have very much held price down so I am happy with both #1 & 2, actually also with an even earlier one.”
