“I bought a refurbished item as it was impossible to purchase a new one. As a manufacturer refurbished item I hoped that it would prove satisfactory. However, within 25 days it stopped working - freezing at the Humax startup screen - having indicated at a previous startup that it didn't have a hard disk! The recorder had been used for less than a dozen recordings during the 25 days so hardly overused! I can only conclude that the refurbishment of the device hadn't corrected whatever was previously wrong with it. I have had a number of other manufacturers' recorders over the years and had no problems with them. This is not a good advertisement for Humax.”
“Screen different layout to my old box, but got used to it quickly. Set seems to take a while to load up at start, though. I might email the company about this.”
