“Some initial problems not coming on after standby on several occasions needed to be powered off then would respond MENU ITEMS NOT RESPONDING FAILING TO RECORD SERIES LINKED PROGRAMMES but seems to be functioning ok now”
“Good unit. Previously had the PVR9300g and it was perfect. I needed to update to record HD which this one does very well. I also like the speed you can navigate to programme guide and the way that is presents the information. I do however miss the front panel time/info display, I understand it helps the power saving but I really do miss it. The HDR-1800T only has a red/ Blue LED and it's difficult to really know what it's doing. Maybe a 3 colour LED would have help show this difference between off, on and recording. I have found the hard disk a little noisier than my previous PVR9300G but am managing to live with it.
I had a small problem with the first one delivered but Humax technical support were easy to talk to very knowledgeable, and were able to dispatch a replacement the next day. Couldn't be happier with the level of customer support. Humax email response however is patchy but does get answered eventually. Telephone support is the best.”
