“Easy to set up and so far works well. It is a boon to be able to record two programmes at once and watch another on the TV. A couple of niggles are that the Humax has to be booted up to get an aerial signal out to use the TV's tuner and it is not possible to set infividual timer padding on each recording. My old Panasonic had these features but was hopelessly temperamental from new so I prefer the Humax.”
“I bought this recorder to replace a Humax Fox recorder that I had been using for the last 8 years. Like other reviewers I was disappointed to find that there is no longer a display showing how far through a programme you are. The only way to overcome this is to temporarily pause the programme you are viewing so that the time bar appears at the bottom of the TV screen. More annoying is the loss of a light to indicate that the machine is recording, instead of 3 colours (orange standby, blue on & red recording) there are now only 2 colours - blue on and red for standby and record. You don't know whether the machine is recording or in standby! Please bring back these features as, in my view, the old set up was far better than the current one.”
