“The machine makes a chuntering noise which is sometimes audible above watching a TV programme. The advice received was that it was probably the hard drive and to let them know if it got worse. Other than that, it is simple to use and does the job. I wouldn't buy it again myself or advise anyone else to get one because of the noise issue.”
“Slower to start than advertised and can be temperamental - it once started with a general pink hue over the screen, which took a lot of fiddling to remedy. TV Portal hasn't much worthwhile to offer and is also temperamental. No ITV, Channel 4 or UKTV players (better off casting from phone). Should have just renewed my older make rather than being taken in by the slick advertising for this.”
