“Third Humax Freesat product I have bought over the years, all still working in three different locations. The last two purchases have been advertised as " refurbished" but in both cases though the products arrived in unbranded boxes, all contents were brand spanking new unopened products. I reckon in the vast majority of cases "refurbished " is just away of Humax shifting superced models”

“when looking through the menu of programmes it keeps telling me it is searching for information phoned Humax and they said it was not a fault of the box but a fault of the people who supply the information, also when I use the HD mode the sound is quite often out of sink with the lips. Only cost me £46 but I would not buy another one.”

“Really surprised as to how good this box is. Was working within 10 minutes of taking out of the box. Just plugged in power unit, connected existing Sky dish, switched on and that was it, brilliant picture, excellent epg. Connected to router with cable supplied, and able now to connect to on demand services, catchup, Iplayer etc. Recently plugged in an old HDD and now able to record programmes. Am delighted with this product as it even has the latest software.”

“I am very pleased with my refurbished HB-1000S. The set up was simple and everything works perfectly. I am happy with the older styling compared to the newer versions as the box does everything I want from it. Coupled to a portable hard drive I have all I need to enjoy satellite TV without Sky and their exorbitant prices. The box was well packaged and arrived promptly. Overall an excellent box for the money and excellent service also.”

“Came in a white box but it came with all the bits, the remote control is a vast improvement over my previous HB-1000S, the buttons feel a lot nicer.”

“The box randomly stopped responding to the remote control and was replaced by Humax. As requested by Humax customer service, I returned all cables, instructions and power supply. A note delivered with the replacement unit, after the old unit had been collected and only read after the guy had left, said do NOT return cables as none are supplied with the replacement. The new box works fine and I have bought new cables.”
