“Fed up with BT we invested in our own box, the DTR-T2000, as it had a scart connection and something had made all our HDMI ports on the LG unusable, it might not have been the BT box and their ability to delete recordings, switch to a different system and not support the IT but it might.
TV otherwise is fine but can't get the spares for repairs, this is a good option, slightly noisier than I expected but it is only a minor issue. It was a refurbished model had it for about a month and has done everything required”
“The reason I have marked as acceptable rather than good is because the recorder after about two weeks froze, and would not function with the remote control unless switched off at the mains, and kept going round in ncircles with "Waking up" and then "Nearly Ready" and back to waking up again, this happened on several ocassions. Eventually I receive a couple of pages via email, which told me how to reboot the units software (Which I was surprised to have to do after only three weeks)
This did not work, as the instructions said, as it would not show the re-boot menu as indicated. At present, I am not having any problems, and guess maybe it has updated the software automatically, but having had one previously, also re-furbished, which lasted for two years, I didn't think this was a particularly auspicious start.
At present, everything seems to be functioning as it should, and I am hoping it was just a glitch in the software, and has now remedied itself.........”
“The box is great, you wouldn't know it was refurbished. Initially had problems auto connecting to the internet and had to set up manually, this seemed to sort it out. I would recommend buying refurbished as you can't argue with the price and still get the Humax guarantee.”
