“I purchased 2 Humax Eye camera's, one was ok for about 4 week's, then no picture on the app on my phone. The other one lasted about 10 minutes before same problem. I have been in contact with Humax Direct on numerous occasions and at this time both camera's are still not working. I don't believe it's the camera's that are faulty but the Y-CAM software and app. I am still waiting for them to get back to me.”
“Charged at the wrong price and not at the special price. When told on the phone I was told that as the time had run out for the special price although purchased within this time limit there was nothing they could do Very disappointing as we have many Humax products and would in general say we have been pleased
With them. To finish off the eye would not work!!we called the help line but they could not get it to work either. So said goods where returned for a full refund.”

“Bought this camera on July 27 2018, but discovered that it wouldn't work with my phone. Contacted Humax who told me that it wasn't their problem and to contact Y-cam instead. Y-cam then informed me that they had upgraded their software to Android 5, and it wasn't backward compatible, thus rendering the camera useless. I asked Humax for a refund, but so far have not received one. Very poor customer service.”
“Seems to do the job most of the time - but does occasionally lose the internet connection ... but hopefully not when I'm being burgled. I have to turn it off and then back on again to re-set it.
Set-up is also an appalling hassle if you happen to have a character in your wi-fi password which is neither a letter nor a number. I had a "&" sign in mine. I spent 4 hours trying to input my wi-fi password into the camera only ever to get a red light. It nearly drove me insane. Finally, after I had reached a near-comatose state, and was just beginning to lose the will to live, I found a YouTube review of your camera in which the presenter had exactly the same problem.
The solution was to change my wi-fi password, and then input the new password into every connected device in my home.
By this time, burglary was definitely beginning to look like the more attractive alternative to your camera.

“Purchased three cameras. After three attempts managed to log one into our internet. However, every time we left the house the camera went offline and only came back online when we returned. Other two cameras wouldn’t load at all. After contacting the technical help line we were advised that they had a software issue which rendered them incompatible with our broadband. Had to return the cameras.
One failed pickup by courier after waiting in all day.
Took five further calls over a fourteen day period to get someone from Customer Servicecare to authorise a refund. Still waiting for refund to show on our credit card statement.
Promises to phone back and track return didn’t materialise from second pickup. Very stressful and disappointed with product and customer support. Wouldn’t recommend this product or supplier.”
