“The remote you need if you have a Humax Freeplay DVR. Not a great layout. Worst is that keys wear out very quickly and it makes navigation of the menus on the device difficult to navigate and worst off all, its tendency to double click means that recorded items can get deleted accidentally.
This was purchased as a replacement for one that had worn out and at least it works,”
“Wish I’d got this ages ago! Been delighted with the recorder but the remote was rubbish. Many times had to stop myself from throwing it across the room in frustration. Having read other reviews the problems with the original remote seem to be fairly universal. Agree with the comment that Humax should have replaced them free of charge. But failing that, definitely worth buying the new one.”
“We have a problem with accessing the ITV Hub.
Time and again we enter correct e mail and password
but never succeed. The e mail and password work for my i mac and i phone. We are accessing all other hubs.
The only other one we cannot access is Amazon i player. Is that possible ?”
“I just put batteries in and it worked! Brilliant. I have been putting up with having to press buttons numerous times, on my old hand set, before anything happened. With the new one I get instant results.”
“Buying this remote converted my freeview play box from a laggy awkward mess into the swish item I expected it to be when I bought it two years ago. My only question is if thousands of people are having a problem with these awkward remotes, then why isn't this fix a free swapout under warranty - as the device didn't work as advertised?
I still say buy one of these, as it will revitalise your viewing experience”
