“This does the job as it should, but I can't say I'm impressed with the remote that came new with the machine in 2016, as it should last more than 2 years before the buttons become so corrupted that they don't work properly.... thus requiring this replacement.
It's a good machine, but it does throw tantrums occasionally, when one has to switch it off and re-boot it. It will work best if you leave it on standby all the time, rather than switching off the mains supply to it.”

“I have needed three of these remote controllers for a machine that is only just over two years old. No children use the controller. One or other of the buttons fail after a short period and the design of the software for the Humax model it controls gives rise to many more button presses to achieve the same result as was required on earlier models. I bought one of the earliest Humax machine ( am etal colour) and everything lasted for years. It was brilliant. You could have split screen control. The controller was solid and used for over 7 years. Only a disk failure stopped it working. I expect to need another new remote controller in 6 months, the quality is so poor, but I have no choce”
