“Good:
# Overall, we though the site was good and not too much car traffic moving about. The cabin was well appointed. Enjoyed the tennis, table tennis and pool as well as the football field. Takeaway food good and costs on site fairly reasonable including the shop. Excellent location near Benodet and by the sea. Reception excellent.
Not so good:
# The cabin was not the cleanest on arrival. Crumbs on the chairs and sand/grit on the floor in places. Also, the bin smelled strongly of fish, so much so that we had to keep it outside for the week.
# Also wondered about the roof over the terrace which was just slats so let rain in. This meant you had to put any wet clothes on clothes rack in the cabin whenever it rained, filling up the cabin.
Overall a good site but a few bits of feedback where things could be a little better.”
“Excellent family friendly site. Has everything you need: playground, take away, amazing pools for all ages, playground and importantly very easy access to the beach. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Accommodation was lovely, would just have liked a little extra room around the cabin/ cottage to kick a football around/ throw a ball. The walk into Benodet itself is very easy.”
“The prestige mobile homes are beautiful but be careful which one you are allocated as the privacy at some isn’t too ‘prestigious’ All the camp facilities very good as always”
“Brilliant resort and excellent entertainment staff. Accommodation excellent and pristine. The pool is a highlight, however all our children had injuries from the surface of the pool. It seemed to cause blisters and cuts on the soles of their feet. Lots of other children had the same issue. The poolside staff administered plasters as they bled badly and it certainly needs to be remedied. That was the only problems with an otherwise outstanding holiday.”

“We returned to L’Escale St Gilles after 2 years and the resort is lovely and great for families, in an amazing location. The one thing we did find after 2 years was how much the prices had risen. Drinks, ice creams, food etc had dramatically increased which we were surprised by as this was not just a small increase. €6 pint. We appreciated that exchange rate etc does not help but this felt more than that. Still a lovely holiday.”
“Accommodation was clean, modern and functional. Resort was well run and staff were very friendly and helpful. Pool was perfect for the kids and location was ideally situation for access to beach and town. Perfect!”
