Sublime is a new label from Graham & Brown and enters our collections with Yin-Yang, a selection of patterns that are Whimsical. Ornatte. Floral. Oriental. Chic. This pattern, “Japan” is based on the mental benefits of surrounding yourself with a canopy of trees that emit essential oil, especially to improve the immune system and is presented in an illustrated style with visible brush strokes. Starting with the matte soft grey background it features a fine linear texture that can be seen to change depending on light, over this the pink cherry blossom trees stretch and soar to encompass the wallpaper. The addition of the crane birds are due to being celebrated within Japanese culture as a symbol of longevity and luck. Sparingly used metallic highlights can be seen within the blooms and on the cranes however, this is definitely a subtle addition. Produced on a Paste the Wall (non-woven) base the sublime collection of wallpapers are extra easy to hang, even for the most novice of decorators.
