“Holiday Taxi’s appeared to be the perfect cost efficient way to get from Cancun Airport to central Playa Del Carmen.
There were no problems on arrival. I received a text message the day before my flight and I went to the stand outside the airport and transferred to my hotel.
The return journey was a different matter... I received confirmation that I would be picked up from my hotel at 12:50pm and I was to be waiting outside 10-15 minutes beforehand. I waited for an hour from 12:30 until 13:30 outside my hotel and the shuttle did not turn up.
This meant I had no choice but to pay for a taxi on a meter to rush me to the airport to make my flight.
I emailed holiday taxis from the airport to let them know what had happened and requested a refund of the unused return transfer. I received a notification telling me my email would be answered within 48 hours. It has now been 7 days and I am yet to receive acknowledgment of my email.
Utterly disappointing service and I almost missed my flight home.”
