“My flight was delayed by 40 minutes, so when finally collected my luggage and exited the arrivals hall I hoped that the driver would be there. Nothing like that. No man with a sign with your name, forget about it.
Followed the instructions on my voucher, went to desk 42-45,just to be told I desk 25 is the righ one.
At desk 25 I was given the number of the car and told to go and search myself for my taxi on a massive parking with tens if not hundreds of cars, minivans and coaches.
With all my luggage, at 3am.
After finally found the car, I realised that the driver is not there.
Other taxi drivers suggested that he is in the car, sleeping, and knocked on the windows and the doors, but he was not there.
Not many of them speak English, so I couldn't find any idea what to do and had no choice, but to go back to the terminal.
Where the girl at desk 25 said she has just started that job 20 minutes before, it's not her fault and she needs to find out what to do.
After a number of phone calls and a lot of shouting in Turkish, i am told to go back and the driver will be there.
So, with my 21-kilogram suitcase I am heading back to the taxis - no offer for help, no apology, nothing like that.
The driver arrived 10 minutes later and started blaming me and the flight that was late, and again, no apologies.
That was the most horrible, frustrating and humiliating experience in my life : nobody ever treated me like that.
I was not sure if I will have the transfer at all and how will arrive to Kemer.
My family and friends were waiting at the reception at 3am, extremely worried and wandering where to start looking for me, as my phone battery was dead shortly after I messaged them I have landed.
If one cannot rely on a private transfer, which should be the quickest, most convenient and safe way to travel, what could be the one?!
After all is significantly more expensive and I hoped that I will have a proper service for that.
That was not the case: it was not quick, in fact I arrived at the hotel 2 and a half hours later, no comments about drugging luggage around the airport - that is all about the quality of the service.
And sorry, the humiliation and thd blame it was my fault the flight was delayed.”
