“If you like Seiko watches then this is both a classic design and fantastic sunburst green colour. It is a quality watch but I don't think it warrants the high price. Maybe Seiko are costing this to the hype of the "Captain Willard". I think personally it should be priced at about £600. No regrets from me though as it is my favourite Seiko watch and hopefully will retain its high price.”

“Watch arrived in pristine condition. Bezel action is solid and aligned perfectly, and has zero play, both sideways and up or down. The sunburst olive green dial, applied indices and brushed handset are all perfectly executed. The crown is sturdy and easy to manipulate. The ergonomics of the case shape allows the watch to sit comfortably on the wrist, helping the SPB153J1 wear far smaller that the case dimensions would suggest. Finally, the strap is excellent quality and suites the aesthetics of the watch, being reminiscent of the SPB153J1’s inspiration, the Seiko 6105.”
