“The Signia Streamline Mic enables android smartphones to communicate with Signia NX series hearing aids (this includes the Signia Stretta range produced for the NHS and Public Sector). The device is highly rated for giving a superior sound quality for streamed music or voice streamed from the smartphone and clear phone calls. Music and voice sound quality and clarity is a great improvement over the same audio picked up by the hearing aid's microphones. Additionally an internal microphone within the Streamline mic enables the device to be worn (or placed near) a speaker with the signal being bluetoothed to the hearing aids. The transmission range is around 20m (depending on obstructions). While this does improve speech recognition, I find the device's strength lies in its streaming abilities. The rechargeable battery lasts around 7 hours, but it can be in use and recharged simultaneously which is a great feature.”
