“very disappointed in the ash dowels I ordered. They were very light ( in weight) and as flexible as rubber with zero stiffness . Totally unfit for purpose. The grain was ok but they had no rigidity and I could only salvage a few from the 20 I ordered. I have had many of these before and have had no issue with the quality . These need to be much stiffer ,but at 10mm these particular dowels would struggle.”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry the dowels were not fit for purpose. Can we ask what the purpose of the dowels is please? Because of the diameter the dowels will be flexible and will weigh very little. If customers have specific needs on the dowels we would suggest contacting us and we can then select the stiffest or straightest grain dowel. If you would like to return the dowels that were not suitable you can do so for a full refund.

“I have been purchasing ash dowels from you in half dozens. For use as arrow shafts . Unfortunately, I am only able to use four or five due to the poor grain. In one dowel there were ten run-offs within six inches. This particular dowel snapped (exploded) into three pieces along the run-offs under a stress test. The grain for my application needs to be running from end to end or at worst half of the length of the shaft (31inches). Otherwise, they are working out a little expensive (5 for the price of 6). I will try to upload a photo for you of the broken length. Regards”
