“I was sent an offer to trial these products. The brand ethos seemed in keeping with mine and we already use “plastic free” soap/shampoo bars and get on really well with them so we happily accepted. We’ve now tried 3 of the 4 bars and are unfortunately very underwhelmed. None of the bars lather at all (we don’t live in a particularly soft water area BUT we also already use a number of similar products that work perfectly). My partner said using them is like rubbing a slightly perfumed slimy rock around on you. Both of us ended up using our previous products to clean ourselves. We’ve tried to use each of the bars a number of times to make sure it’s not a one off and also away from our home, unfortunately it’s been the same each time. Not sure if it’s just a bad batch but seems less likely given each bar appears different in both formula and shape. The company requested a review rather than direct feedback, happy to discuss this with them if it is helpful.”

“Wouldn't recommend. I normally use dove soap bars which glide smoothly and froth up extremely easily. In comparison these soap bars are the complete opposite. If you use the bar directly on your body then not enough with come off to properly wash yourself. If you rub soap into your hands this can be somewhat solved, but the soap itself it extremely hard and because it doesn't froth up you have to get a lot on your hands to only be able to do one body part. Extremely hard to believe these are "luxury". I will be switching back to dove soap even though these are free, and that speaks volumes.”

“Great looking product, neatly packaged. Unfortunately no matter how I try to use it I cannot get the bar to bubble at all and so it feels like it not working. Smells great though! 3/5 because of the design and the smell however 2/5 for usability.”

The Tvatta Shower gel bars are soap-free and do not foam like regular shower gel. The surfactant in the product is derived from coconut and cleans just as well however the bars do not create large bubbles but are more of a creamy layer that cleans and moisturises the skin at the same time. “I'm not sure about these shower bars. I've only tried one, but I can't get my head around you don't get a lather - it's almost like a getting a very fine layer of grease. It did smell amazing though. The jury is out on this one I'm afraid.”
