“The materials are of great quality and the boots, overall, are good looking too. I rate it 4 stars (couldn't give 3.5) because of two reasons. The first one is that the seam where the tongue was joined to the boot is pressing on the foot when the laces are tied, therefore I have to tie it quite loose, meaning that the support around the ankle is not good at all.Second reason is that as a woman, i naturally walk with my legs/feet quite close to each other and the hooks on each boot are catching on the hooks on the other boot, nearly tripping me over every time. In fact, by leaving the laces tied loosely, i stopped this other thing from happening but that is definitely not the right way to wear these boots. I only noticed these things by wearing them so i could not return them but I'm anxious to wear them on tougher hiking.”
“Having always purchased fairly mundane hiking boots, I wanted something more robust for a planned hike along Hadrian's Wall later in the year. There is pleanty of choice and I settled upon Grisport with a particular brand in mind. I took advantage of ringing the customer service helpline for advice. A knowledgeable man gave me excellent advice on Fuse which he thought would be suitable for my purposes. I was given advice on care for the product and answers to my various other questions. No pressure was exerted to make a sale. I deliberated and decided to go for Fuse as advised. The boots arrived within a couple of days. They were very comfortable right from the start and I didn't need to break them in at all. I have worn them on a 5 mile hike and I really am delighted with them. Comfortable, lightweight, robust, waterproof (I recommend using their waterproofing cream as well), and well-made: these boots have it all. The gift pack that accompanied the boots was very welcome and useful. I will definitely be using Grisport again in the future and would strongly recommend their products.”
