“They look like a good sturdy boot, not too heavy and nice design - not too fancy or gimmicky. Not too wide - which many women's boots are. It's not easy to find leather walking boots these days, but I much prefer them to GoreTex. I am still breaking these in at home, they are quite stiff compared to faithful old boots which I've had for years, but I'm sure will soften with wear. I'm looking forward to years of wear and miles of happy walking.”
“The boots are very good quality - the leather supple and the stitching sound. The weather in Cornwall has been particularly wet recently and the boots have proved to be completely waterproof. They did take a few days to fully mould to my feet which was helped by an application of leather dressing. All-in-all I am very pleased with them especially at a competitive price and the two free gifts I received. Highly recommended.”
“I love these boots - this is my second pair after the first pair wore out completely, and the only thing that has changed is the logo on the tongue, which is now even nicer. The most comfortable leather walking boots I have known, no break-in needed, first pair I had were only properly waterproof for the first 6 months, but stayed water resistant enough for a few more years. Some other brands may be longer lived, but the price means these are much better value for money. I know what my next pair of walking boots will be already - same again!”
“I bought these mid-range boots a few months ago and they get used most days. Very happy with the 'fit out of the box' and thus far happy with the product. I thought the boots were particularly good value for money, as I didn't need a high-end purchase.”
“My second pair of these. First pair lasted 9 years until the soles were worn out. Used for many, many walking holidays, including in the Alps, as well as lots of local walks. New second pair seem just as good.”
