“These boots fit well all over and are comfortable straight out of the box. There is good room above the toes, which means I can wear my normal size (same as town shoes) without suffering from squashed toes. With some makes, I have had to wear the next size up for comfortable toes, risking tripping over my toes occasionally. I find the waterproofing with waxed leather lasts well with frequent cleaning and rewaxing. The sole is grippy, but quite soft so may wear fairly quickly. The boots are relatively lightweight so I wonder how robust they are. They are described as being in the Lowland Walking Collection and so may not be suited to punishing hill walking. I find them excellent for lowland walking, as described.”
