“On my second pair of Grisport boots. Been wearing them on my daily dog walks and so far very pleased. Waterproof and comfortable so no breaking in and the wider toe box helps my feet. Overall very happy.”
“Actually, I'm disappointed - the boots are far too ridgid around the ankle and I don't think they will 'wear in'. The boots need to be worn with thick socks, which I don't need in my climate, but without them, blisters and severe discomfort would be the result. Generally, the boots feel clumpy (a bit like ski boots). The sizing is also a little too large. I'm a UK 5, 38EU and ordered that size, I would say the boots are 5.5 to 6 in actuality. I have put orthotics in them and with thick socks the size is ok. I chose the Peaklander's because of the sole as it has more traction than the Vibram sole boots I had from Scarpa (for four years) which have worn away. I wish however, I had spent twice as much money and bought the Scarpa ultra traction boots. If the Peaklander ones don't soften up with thick socks and daily walking in the next couple of months, they will be spending their life in the bottom of a cupboard and I'll go ahead and buy the Scarpa ones which are ULTRA comfortable from day one. I'm afraid I regret buying these boots but the traction is better than my worn out boots!”
“Not the trendiest boot to look at more 80s Brasher if I am honest but oh what a fit . Having been told by a podiatrist I needed wide toe fronts and a flat sole because of my congentital flat feet causing problems in my dotage I decided to get the nearest I could find to my faithful old Italian Light Steps from 25 years ago - this was it . Beautifully comfort with a pair of lightweight Bridgedales . I am building up very slowly to a proper walk ( thats for me not the boots !) but so far the best boots I have bought in decades”
