“I wear boots daily except in summer, for a lowland walk in fields/wood and cycle journey there. My feet are flat with broad toe and narrow heel, mildly arthritic and very easily become painful in joints and flesh. I wear orthotics.
The Glencoes were comfortable out of the box and after only a few days’ use felt familiar, despite being very different from my retiring boots. They’re robust without being heavy and are nicely flexible for ease walking and cycling, while also being very supportive. I like that I can walk silently in them, good for wildlife watching. They have been waterproof so far for short periods in wet vegetation.
I miss having gripper lugs between foot and ankle lacing, but the laces are generous enough for an extra half knot to help if necessary.
I now have three pairs of Grisport footwear and all performing very well, no hesitation in recommending.”
