It did mention in the literature in the packaging that the boot would not need to be "broken in".
I didn't believe this for a second because every boot and shoe in the world needs to be broken in and I don't begrudge doing this at all.
However, I've been gently breaking them in for over two weeks and I am still suffering from a hot spot around my big toe joint in one foot. Which is a bit frustrating, and painful! I hope the boot eventually softens so I do not suffer future discomfort and for the boot to soon be ready for a proper long hike...”
