“I wasn't impressed by the manufacturing quality of the Quatro walking boots. There were nicks in the rubber along the sole and the eyelets for the laces felt fragile already. I also felt they didn't really hug my foot or feel particularly supportive. The moment I tried them on at home, I felt there are undoubtedly better walking boots on the market, particularly for the price - even my 6-year-old Berghaus pair which cost me £60 and are starting to fall apart from heavy use, felt far more supportive.
I was also pretty disappointed to see Grisport had only published 5* reviews on their website (this was backed up by other reviewers on TrustPilot who had bad experiences with their customer service too) which is very misleading as if you look elsewhere, you'll find plenty of bad reviews. I don't doubt this review won't be published either.
Another less important but still offputting criticism to note is the branding on them (the words "support system" on the heel and "vibram" on the sole) is so loud and really lets the boots down in terms of visual appeal. It wouldn't be so bad if the text was coloured more subtly rather than bright yellow against the black sole, but it just looks a bit cheap and tacky in my opinion.
I sent the Quatros back and purchased a pair of Scarpa Women’s Terra II GORE-TEX® Walking Boots instead which instantly felt far superior in terms of manufacturing quality, materials, comfort, and supportiveness. They fit like a glove and look fantastic. Would by far and away recommend a pair of Scarpas over the Grisport Quatros.
They get 2*s for the ease of return - thankfully I didn't have any issues with customer service and was refunded the full cost of the boots minus return shipping (prepaid label is included in the box). The added extras (boot bag and two pairs of Merino wool socks) would have been nice additions had I kept the boots, though I would advise against automatically giving every person ordering women's boots two pairs of PINK socks!”
