The first pair served me well. They are probably one of the best pairs of boots I've ever had. That's saying something, as I'm 76 years old and have done some serious mountain hiking over the years.
These boots are tough, durable and extremely comfortable.
The older pair will now become my spare pair, because real hillwalkers, should always have a backup pair of boots.
