“I walk between 20-30 miles per week and I bought these boots for their wider fitting specification. The first pair were extremely tight fitting and I had to return for a half-size larger than my normal fit. Wearing them around the house for a couple of days the bigger size felt better, unfortunately having now worn them outside and done several walks I find they are pressing uncomfortably on the metatarsal area of my toes and also on the top of both feet. This is causing so much tenderness that I have to leave it a couple of days and revert to my old boots before trying the new boots again.
The quality of the boot is not in question and they look really good but I have to say that I have never experienced this issue before and although the width is now OK it feels to me as though the boots are just not deep enough to comfortably fit. My current brands of walking boots are Altberg, Merrell and Clarks all of which have been fine out of the box. I tried the Grisport from recommendation but up to now have been disappointed. Just hope they eventually bed in if I can stand the pain getting there. So obviously I can't recommend these boots. If you do decide to try them wear them for a week around the house first.”
