“Only had 2 walks (10 and 6 mile in very wet and muddy hill conditions) so far but great boot for the money. Only dropping one star for flat eyelets which makes tying the laces more awkward. Very wide fit and wide sole. Much wider than Scarpa's and Meindl Buthans for comparison.Very comfortable straight away. Fully waterproof so far, even when submerged. They might not be quite as premium as some of the £250 - £300 boots around but for what you pay these are excellent value. A lot of boot for your money. Until scarpa and meindl stop making boots with ice skates for soles these will definately do the job just fine.”
“I've had two pairs of these. The soles last me about 1,000 miles on hard surfaces like roads and still have plenty of grip left but I like a lot of grip so renew at that point. My feet are wide and I like a lot of space and these work well. I tie the lace in a knot half way up the boot so the laces are loose over the toes but tight around the ankle. I'd prefer more arch support and padding under the foot etc as I find after 10-20 miles my feet feel a bit crippled... but that is just me as I think my feet have an issue and need orthodontics. I'd say these are excellent quality for the price. I've never had a blister from them.”
“The jury is out still on these but currently disappointed. They are wider fitting than some but i can still feel rubbing even with thinner walking socks. But my main issue is the the leather seems to have no 'give' at all. I'm hoping if i persevere it will soften, but am walking very flat footed at present. That's after 3 1-hour walks so far. Wish i'd returned...”
