I purchased these boots to replace my Berghause lightwieght leather boots that I had used for some time but were a little tight. I purchased the wide fit Aztecs and they are a really comfortable fit, not quite as light as the Berghause ones but they certainly took very little wearing in and they are waterproof which is the main aim I was looking for. Can definitely recommend them.

I recently bought a pair of Aztec Wide Fit Boot (Crazy Horse Leather) walking boots from Grisport. They are excellent walking boots, good comfortable fit, and the service was excellent.

Early days as not many miles walked, however first impressions so comfy the wide fit is excellent for me and I have no reservations that straight out the box these boots are excellent. I spent a long time replacing my current boots ( I have tried various makes over the years), these looked to tick all the boxes for me, looked well made, good description provided by Grisport, reviews supported my decision, as genuine informed reviews are helpful and can answer some questions. So apart from build quality they are priced very competitively, i look forward to many miles in them.

Best pair of boots I've ever owned. Comfy, fit is outstanding and about 100 miles in (with lots of water and mud) seem sturdy and well made. Definitely recommended.

My go to boot. Perfect wide fit option and extremely shock absorbent for off road hiking. Averaging a pair per year due to all the walking I do!

I bought Grisport Aztec boots because Which Magazine recommended Grisport waking boots as a ‘best buy’. When I received them they looked great and felt comfortable and needed very little breaking in. However they have a serious design fault, in my opinion: I had only worn them a few times for short walks when I passed one foot over the other and somehow two of the metal lace hooks caught on each other, locking my feet together. I nearly fell over, but they released just in time. However the two lace hooks were damaged (bent open). This could have caused a serious accident in some hiking situations. This could only happen because of the design of the lace hooks. It’s only because they are made of thin metal that they can hook together. The thicker castings used on many other boots simply can’t hook together. So now I have two problems: 1. Do I continue using them, taking care because I know the lace hooks can catch and cause a fall? 2. Now that the lace hooks are bent outwards they may not hold the laces so well, and they may be more likely to catch on other things. But if I try to bend them back to their original position they may break, leaving me with boots that won’t fully lace. This isn’t technically a warranty issue, because I don’t see a fault in workmanship, but I do see a design fault that could be fixed by using thicker, cast-metal lace hooks. This means I really can’t recommend these boots to others, much as I would like to for their other great qualities.
