Is the product true to size?
I have had these boots before and have been very pleased with them. Very comfortable from day one fitting like a glove. I think I worked out that i did about 4000 miles in them. Although still wearable they had started to let in water when the conditions were very wet. So decided to get another pair for those wetter days. I have a tin of Grisport wax which does keep them really supple and waterproof. Would recommend them to others.

Great quality and craftsmanship. Very comfortable sole with great grip. I'm still breaking these boots in but I'm hopfull that they'll be worth the effort. They certainly feel strong and capable. Don't be put off by what looks like a grey band on the sole, it's just the photo.

Excellent boot, hadn't realised how much support my cheaper previous boots were lacking.

Good well made leather boot. Quite a wide fit which suits me. I also welcome the provision of a black pair of boots as most are brown. It was also good to receive the extras from the winter promotion.

Dec 2018. If your a fan of Brasher boots then read this: Ive just purchased a pair of Peaklanders, and followed the companies sizing recommendation. Being a size 10 I ordered the European size 44, where normally I would order 45, and I'm delighted that the boots fit perfectly-so feel confident in following the companies sizing guideline. On opening the box the quality of the boot is very much apparent...these boots are very well made. Grisport was a new company to me, and I was nervous about ordering online, but on first trial the boots had a great fit, a good action, and they were lighter than my old Raichle boots. They do need gentle breaking in though, so I wore them in the house, out and about in town, and finally trialed them on a long level walk on Dartmoor. They are superbly comfortable, and extremely warm, and after a couple of miles I'd forgotten they were on my feet. The only down side to the boot was its traction over rock. Grisport's are made in the Dolomites and I imagine over limestone the boot has better grip, but on Dartmoor Granite I lost traction where i wouldn't normally expect to. This may be down to the cold surface and unworn tread, but it made me more cautious of my footing than I'm used to in my old boots. In retrospect I perhaps should have purchased a boot with a different grip, but that said these boots at this price are excellent for hard walking, especially if you get cold feet, and the quality of the leather, and support is excellent. BTW the Grisport catalogue that arrived with my boots made much more sense than the companies website, it was clearly divided up into groups of boots with different soles, designs, and the differences were clearly explained.......which would have informed my purchase. So if they are taking notice then that needs addressing. Also Grisport doesn't always tell you the weight of the boots, which is odd, as the weight of their boots is one of their strongest points! I also purchased a pair of Grieff ankle boots which are superb, they pull on and off quickly, are warm, and very very comfortable. Then a week later I purchased a pair of fabric boots for my 12 year old son (Also a euro 44!) and he accompanied me on the trial walk on Dartmoor and was delighted with his boots. I cant understand why Grisport are such a secret in the UK!

The Peaklander boots are the only leather boots that I've tried that are very comfortable from the first wear, water-resistant and not too expensive. Grisport was recommended to me and I keep recommending them to others.
