“Bought size 10s, as I'm a size 10, and they fitted pefectly and needed absolutely no breaking in.
After 5 hours walking, there was no chafing or rubbing and the boots were still comfortable, and this hasn't changed in any of the subsequent walks. They are not heavy but still feel sturdy.
In summary, I've had them for a few weeks now and they continue to fit well and be comfortable, have been waterproof through muddy fields and long wet grass, with no slipping or sliding!
Might have to buy a second pair for when these ones need retiring :)”
“First pair of Grisport boots. Fabulously comfy walking boots with no breaking in.
I purchased size 41 (generally wear size 40 for shoes but like room for expansion and hot feet in boots or running shoes) There is plenty of room for my wide toes but fit snugly round the heels. Soft supple leather and amazingly waterproof as had to ford a shallow river during a waterfall walk.
Only downside is that the laces work lose...so will probably change them.”
“I'm comparing the Saracen boots to my last pair of Quatro boots. The Saracen has a fairly hard outer sole and lack a bit of cushioning in the foot bed. I had to change the way the boots are laced in order to stop them cutting into the line of my toes. The tongue of the left boot is off centre. So far they have passed the wet weather test of the last two weeks. I would not recommend these boots.”
