“Just been searching for these boots and luckily they still make them! I bought my original pair of Saracens April/May 2015. I still have them! Yes they look a little worse for wear and they aren’t as waterproof as they once we’re (that’s my fault as haven’t been taking care of them!) but they still work and are definitely not falling apart. I’m actually astonished as I used them more or less everyday for 5 years, the last two and a half years I’ve only really been using them half of the year, in the colder months. These boots have been to work with me for about two years gardening for 10 or 12 hours a day, in the mud, rain and snow. They have also been up and down Scafell Pike and a few smaller mountains. Have been used for about 6 months daily walking up and down the hills and valleys of Calderdale and into work everyday. obviously been taken on long hikes! They’ve also been to a number of other countries.
For those first 5 years I literally didn’t use any other shoe (except dress shoes for events) they went everywhere with me! Honestly I can’t praise them enough. I don’t recall ever having blisters either, I’m usually a 10 but went for 10.5 (45) and they fit perfectly with a single sock but I also use double socks for long hikes or in winter and my feet still manage to fit without being too tight. I’m so happy they still make these and will be buying another pair when I get paid! My old pair will be used for any groundwork or gardening that I may need to do, I definitely will not be binning them!
