The summer house was what we wanted as a building but the build quality is poor. I assumed the units would be produced on a standard jig which would guarantee accuracy of measurements. This unit was poorly constructed. For example the edge timber supports to the base units were not in line with the edges of the board flooring. My joiners had to plane these pieces so that the two bases fitted correctly and hence the sides would fit properly. Similarly the two roof sheets did not fit together correctly. Their joining edges were not straight and again the joiners had to plain them to fit properly. The door frame to the front of the building was far too wide for the doors. Hence an additional steel plate had to be fitted to one of the doors so that the lock would work. There was a large gap between the doors and so an additional piece of wood had to be fitted to one of the doors so that there was not a permanent gap between them. The joining arrangement between the sides and front panel is poor (three screws to each joint) so this has been reinforced. Once finished and with these extra items of work done I really like the summerhouse. But it cost me in materials and additional joiner time
