Used to fill in patches and over seed. Followed instructions, watered regularly and I’m not that impressed, seed took forever to germinate and although some grass has grownI was expecting better as it boasts 5 seeds per stick, I’m still left with patches everywhere and I’ve had to go out to my local garden centre and buy normal seed.

Disappointed with this product. Very slow to germinate despite excellent growing conditions and the birds still eat them. It's a pity that they don't have a money back guarantee.

After several years re-seeding the bare patches on my lawn with normal grass seed and covering them up to prevent the birds stealing them, I decided to plump for these sticks as no prep was required and they were bird-proof. Sadly though, they haven't germinated. I guess that could be down to the prolonged and very wet weather after I scattered them on my lawn. £18 was a lot of money to waste this way, so I shall have to go with the labour-intensive, cheaper version again in future.

So convenient and the grass seems to thrive. I have bought them a few times now.

I don’t think they have worked. Put them on the bare patches on the lawn. Most of these are still bare.
