“Going back 40 years or so one of the simplest ways of checking soil pH was to use a Barium Sulphate testing kit; this remains a viable method but I have been unable to acquire a suitable indicator dye until I found this source. It seems to be very similar to what I used 40 years ago but relies on the agronomist using de-ionised water to be sure of an accurate result. I am delighted to be able to use it again although the postage cost of one bottle are higher than the cost of one bottle!”
