Evergreen, tall conical tree with peeling, cream, pinkish and brown bark. Leaves,often used in flower arrangements,are silver- blue when young, blue-green when mature. Clusters of white flowers with numerous stamens appear in mid summer. Needs full sun & well drained soil. They can get battered in an exposed position so they are best planted in a sheltered urban garden or site. They can grow tall but they can be kept shorter with a prune. If you crush the leaves they have a sweet scent.
